OK people, let your imagination run wild.
I had a contest with some of my friends "Who can Imagine the weirdest planet" so i thought it will be good idea to ask you guys.
I'll start first:
Volamundus (Flying World)
The planet is pretty close to its sun thus making it very hot and inhospitable ,except for a small part of the atmosphere where life can evolve. The habitable area is home to the so called Natare insula (Floating island) these islands float lighter gases trapped within them.

Imagine a planet, habitable for now, overcrowded to the point of bursting, and being slowly destroyed by the barely intelligent population. The inhabitants regularly kill each other over toxic, vile chemicals, invisible creatures in the sky or over how best to fight over the toxic chemicals or invisible creatures. The population is lead by fools, who are supported and kept in power by the ignorant, cattle-like masses. In fact, the more these leaders abuse and destroy their own population, the more popular they become.

Wait, that sounds rather familiar doesn't it.

The planet isn't really the weird part, the dominant species living on it is.
I mean, granted, the planet is a rarity (we think).
But the "qualities" of humanity are quite "unique".
