While technically owned by the German Reich, Galleria is too newly acquired and has too small a population to be of much use. Sustenance farming produces enough food for the population, but no surplus is exported. The capital, Morgensturm, is so named because of the early storms that frequently develop over Lake Laogai. Tonfall, the second colony settled on Stuttgart, was nearly destroyed four times by tremendous storms during only a two-year period. It was subsequently named Ausdauer. Einbildung is a small town of fewer than 20,000, and is an experiment at moving farther inland. The majority of the planet’s single continent is forest, and a single giant lake dominates the interior. Lake Laogai, as it is called, was named for the ship which brought the first settlers. Rainforests cover the southern portion of the planet, while coniferous forests and tundra dominates the northern. The far north is uninhabitable. Indigenous fauna are plentiful and good for eating. The world lacks any major sights or attractions, though supplies of iron and oil have been found but not exploited, mostly in the vast desert.
