History
The Scinfaxi invasion of India and the Middle East forced the British Empire to evacuate as many civilians as they could. These transports helped millions of people escape the Scinfaxi advance, but it was clear there might have been no safe place. Upon arriving in Britain, they were forced to leave again, this time to North America. Like billions across the world they were forced to create a new nation within a nation on the North American continent. While scattered, these immigrants became a key part of Andrean, Anglo-Canadian, and American infrastructure.
With the colonization of dozens of planets in the Orion Region, the Tawhid finally found a chance to begin anew. The discovery and later colonization of Akhmim, formed a rally point for all those formally from the Middle-East and Africa wishing to live free from other governments. In 2149 the Tawhid Nation formally withdrew from the Democratic Federation.
War of 2177

In 2177 Admiral Robert Howards led his 1st Ballistic Fleet to the Tahwid system of Luxor. He claimed that he was only chasing a pirate vessel, but still attacked the Tahwid fleet in orbit around the planet. After the battle, the Tahwid called upon the Greater German Reich to aid them in reclaiming their lost planet.
Almost as soon as the the Germans arrived the battle against the Democratic Federation turned into an offensive. Planet after planet fell under little to no resistance. Eventually, at Midlands, the allies encountered then Vice Admiral John Danforth. He claimed that Howards had been working alone and had been apprehended by Danforth's 10th Naval Division. The Tahwid agreed to pull back and return the planets, and Robert Howards was given to the Tahwid, and after a hasty trial he was publicly executed on Luxor Prime. His betrayal eventually led to the suicide of Gustav Maximillion, the German Commander who had been in command of the German East Army. The Tahwid have been suspicious of the Democratic Federation ever since.
Foreign Relations
The Tawhid maintain a close relationship with the Democratic Federation, however their recent interactions with the Greater German Reich have caused some concern in the D.F.

The Tawhid maintain a small interstellar fleet of older German and Allied ships, as well as their own designs. While considered outdated by more advanced nations, the crews of the Tawhid navy are some of the most experienced in the Orion Region, having fought hundreds of engagements in their ongoing efforts against the various pirates and smugglers that operate between the Greater German Reich and the Democratic Federation.
The majority of the Tawhid fleet is currently stationed out of the DF/Tawhid border world of Luxor as a deterrent against any aggression from Federation forces. The forces stationed at Luxor are divided into two smaller fleets, the First and Second Fleet of Tawhid, commanded by Grand Admiral Akbar and Admiral Al-Sal.
